Thanksgiving

For the second year in a row, we went to the Connors’ for Thanksgiving, in Kansas City. Fun was had.

Halloween 2019

I guess a more apt title for this post would be “Beggars Night 2019,” but I feel like I am already committed. This year we trick-or-treated on a Wednesday night. Elliot, Lucia, and Rose dressed up and ventured out and Andrew and Mari stayed home to pass out candy.

Pumpkin Carving

We carved some pumpkins. All of the kids participated this year, some more enthusiastic than others. I can’t remember who likes digging out the insides. I think Lucia.

Valentine’s Day Dinner

Another year, another Valentine’s Day dinner at Panera. We’ve done this nearly every year since Andrew was born, with just a couple exceptions for other plans or lack of a Panera.

Liess Family Christmas

This evening we celebrated Christmas with the Liess family, at the Reagens’. There was a lot of food, good times, and an interesting white elephant gift exchange.

Firetruck Santa

There is a tradition in Clive where the fire department drives Santa around a couple of weeks before Christmas to visit all of the neighborhood kids. This morning was the big day and the kids were excited for the visit.Â
